PROJECT OVERVIEW
An infographic poster is a visual that presents information from a different perspective through engaging visual elements like icons, graphs, charts, and stylish fonts. The intended goal of infographic posters is to make information more interesting and to present complex data in a clear, straightforward way.
This project challenged us to think about spacing with our graphics and charts, forcing us to think not only on how to organize our information, but also making it coherent enough to flow easily. In addition to that, this project also reinforces the issue of typography and hierarchy. Being able to utilize the hierarchy to catch readers at the far, middle, and up-close distance is a skill important to many designers.
SKETCHES/PROGRESS
The process for creating this infographic started out simple with sketches, however moving the idea to screen was a challenge. While in the sketch I assumed a chart would only take up a certain amount of space, putting it on the computer forced me to rethink some of my early designs in order to fit all of the data I was utilizing without messing up the flow.
